Seniors targeted through Medicare Part D The March 2008 issue of Kiplinger's Magazine carries an article all seniors should read about Unscrupulous insurance agents, scammers and identity thieves targeting seniors through the Medicare Part D benefit. Part D can be confusing and these individuals are taking advantage of that confusion to sell unnecessary or bogus benefits to seniors. Identity thieves are using this as an easy way to get their hands on the personal information of seniors. Identity thieves and others often target seniors, this is just one more method that they have found. It is important that all seniors know to be wary of what seems to be excessive rates or coverage you do not need. Also investigate the company offering coverage. Take the time to truly think through what you are being offered to avoid a costly mistake.
